Skype had an update recently that seems to have remedied the problem in its scope, but Hangouts is still borked. Initially, FaceTime was the only app that could use the camera. LifeLock identity theft protection is not available in all countries. When I try to use my late 2013 MBA (A1466) camera for Google Hangouts video chat, it more often than not wont work. My calendar is just a list of virtual meetings at the moment, so it’ll become my default calendar viewer fo the time being.The Norton and LifeLock Brands are part of NortonLifeLock Inc. To fix that, check that Google Hangouts indeed has access to use your PC's.
I just discovered it this morning, so I can’t wait to start using it next week. Denying Hangouts camera access is one of the major reasons why the app refuses to detect the camera upon subsequent use.

Meeter is free on the Mac App Store, so there is no reason not to give it a shot if you find yourself in multiple Zoom meetings each day. This features using the built-in ‘Calls on Other Devices’ feature where your Mac and iPad can make/receive phone calls from your iPhone.
